Recently, our Eaststar factory conducted a trial run of our PA sheet extrusion equipment. The PA raw material process involved drying and mixing, feeding, heating and melting, stirring, extrusion through a die, three-roll calendering, cooling on a cooling rack, and finally winding. After continuous adjustments by our technicians, the final PA sheet product achieved a smooth, glossy surface and precise thickness.
Polyamide (PA, commonly known as nylon) sheets are widely used in high-performance packaging and industrial components due to their high strength, high toughness, excellent barrier properties, and abrasion resistance. However, because of PA plastic's high hygroscopicity, high-temperature hydrolysis, and melt viscosity sensitivity, its processing equipment must be specifically designed for its characteristics. A standard general-purpose plastic extrusion line cannot consistently produce high-quality PA sheets.
Eaststar's PA sheet extrusion equipment is specifically designed for the unique properties of nylon. It precisely addresses nylon's high hygroscopicity, heat sensitivity, and rapid crystallization characteristics, ensuring a stable production of high-quality sheets.
The core of the entire PA sheet production line begins with rigorous drying pretreatment. Raw materials must undergo deep dehumidification and be transported in a closed, insulated environment to ensure absolute dryness before entering the extruder. This is the first crucial step in determining the success of production. The sheet extruder is the key component of the entire production line, requiring a dedicated screw with a specially designed structure that achieves gentle and uniform plasticization under appropriate shear, preventing overheating and decomposition of the material. Each section of the barrel requires independent and precise temperature control.
